Jack Wills open in Manchester!!
We’ve worked to the tight programme, and completed the store for Jack Wills on time.
The store located on King Street in Manchester, formed another interesting project for our site teams, due to the intricate detailing required. The location saw a listed building sandwiched in between two new build units, resulting in a dark closed off space. We have worked to transform this by knocking down walls to give an open feel to the retail space. We have exposed some original features which had been previously hidden, and have installed some additional features which are more in keeping with the period feature of the property, such as removing a steel staircase and installed a wooden staircase in line with the age of the listed building. At the rear of the shop we have removed a floor level to expose a large glass wall to let in more natural light and form a feature to the store. The floor finishes of the Manchester store are one which we have never encountered before, and were to have a ‘sinking Land Rover effect’ in the concrete floor.
Completed over a 6 week programme, and including the usual works involved in a store fit out, the final outcome looks fantastic.
